Survivors Stories
On this page we would like to share
with you stories of Survivors. These stories are straight from the
Survivors themselves. If you are a Survivor and you would like to add your
story, please, e-mail us!
Remember, together We CAN make a difference!
UAADV is not a judge or a jury, we are displaying what is going on in the world
around us, what needs to be noticed. In doing so, we are at no time
legally held for what is in the below stories, but we are sharing them with the
world for all to see. From there, you make your own decision........

These following stories are the stories of Survivors that are still fighting
against the abuse.

Survivor ... Sandra
Fleming
SANDRA FLEMING
endured ten years of horrific torture and abuse at the hands of her sadistic
boyfriend.
But she finally snapped when vicious
Christopher Porter held a loaded gun to their three children’s heads.
After he collapsed in a drunken stupor,
Sandra took the gun and shot him dead.

Normalcy
Written by
a 21yr old Child Survivor of Domestic Violence for his Creative Writing Class.
Permission given to share..............
My childhood was normal. I had two normal kid sisters, a normal mom, a normal
dad, and even a normal dog. We lived in a normal brown house, on a normal
American street, in a normal sized town. The beatings were also normal. I wasn’t
hit, but it might as well have been me. The sob filled screams of my mother
echoed throughout our normal house on a somewhat regular basis. They terrified
my normal sisters, my normal dog, and my normal adolescent life. Afterwards we
would usually go to a hotel. The magnificent heated pools and the colorful
brightly lit game rooms became a haven for me to escape my normal life. My dad
would normally cry and apologize, vowing it would never happen again. He
normally pointed to how much he had changed. After a few days my mom would give
in, forgive him, and we would go back to our normal house, until the next time.
This was the routine for my normal life. The routine would continue on, until
one night, the normalcy in my life came to a sudden bloody end.
Valerie's Story
Valerie is one of the Owners of UAADV. Couldn't have done it without her!
A Protective Parent that has dodged the Legal System Bullet after years of
fighting.......
This is a story about a courageous
Mother of 3 still fighting for her families freedom against her "Monster".
Her site has just begun, much more to add to it, which is being updated at this
time. Please, read what she has on there now, and come back soon to see
the rest. Documentations and full story being worked on at this time.
As of next month, she is fighting the State of NJ so that her and her family can
move out of State, away from a father that can no longer see the children due to
DV.
Update.
Valerie has won against her "Personal Monster" and is now living out of NJ!!
She won, but her fight isn't over yet. He is still trying to make her come
back to NJ through the courts, and she is still in fear of her life from him.
One large battle won, but the war is not over yet.......
Another Update!!!!!!! October 21, 2005
Valerie has won!!!! Her
Personal Monster tried yet again to play the court system and bring her and her
children back to NJ. This time, her Personal Monster showed his true
colors to the Judge, wasn't prepared and asked for a continuance on a trial that
HE initiated. He lost it when told that this wouldn't be done, and now has
no more legal recourse to bring Valerie and her children back to Hell.
They are finally free of the courts! Now, to be free of him.........
Update December 2006
Once again Valerie's Monster is rearing his head............This time, he has
now abused and threatened his now X-Girlfriend who is in fear of her life and
the life of her daughter. He has threatened her, trying to extract money
from her for her and Valerie's safety, and has so far gotten away with it.
This shows the cycle of Domestic Violence, and shows that an abuser will choose
another victim once his has gained her freedom. Once again Valerie's
Monster is in her life, but she isn't afraid, she's willing to fight to
win................. (information will soon be shared in this further case)

UAADV Member Story!
Elizabeth's Story
Elizabeth has lived through the abuse, and would like to share her story so that
maybe it will help someone else. We are very lucky to have her as part of
our group! The inspirations and strength that she shares with others is
invaluable.
Marie's Story
My name is Marie, and I am
a Survivor of Incest, Childhood Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence and Rape.
I am the youngest of 6.

If you have a story
of a loved one that has lost the fight against Domestic Violence, please
share
it with us. We would like to continue sharing the
stories in hope that others will see just what Domestic Violence is, a travesty
that must end.
If you are a
Non-Custodial Mother, and would like support, or can share your case file,
please contact
us. You are NOT alone.......
If you are a Victim
or Survivor of Domestic Violence, and you have not received the help that you
needed, or did not gain justice through the courts, please,
let us
know. We must work together to bring about a change,
and the only way to do that is to show the problem.
Enough is ENOUGH!
Together, we CAN and WILL make a difference!
A victim's first scream is
for help: a victim's second scream is for justice."-
